Her talk will focus on what it takes to truly be able to listen to parties in armed conflict, including those who have committed violence. Drawing on her experience as a peace mediator, Fleur will share some lessons learned and relate this to everyday life.
BIOGRAPHY
Fleur Ravensbergen is the deputy director and cofounder of the Dialogue Advisory Group (DAG), a Dutch NGO that mediates in armed conflict. She talks to members of armed groups with the aim of reducing violence. Since 2009 she has been involved in two disarmaments, and a broad range of peace mediations, including in Basque Country, Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
